Why Beam?
One platform for your entire inventory operation
Item Management is the foundation of Beam. Once items have a digital identity, every other capability works automatically: locate items on a map, verify orders by scanning, count stock in minutes, and trace every movement. No separate tools, no manual bridges.
Powers every module:
Registered items are the starting point for every Beam capability.
Location Management
Registered items can be placed on your warehouse map. Know where every item is, down to the shelf and compartment.
Order Picking
Verify orders by scanning items against pick lists. Item identity ensures the right product ships every time.
Cycle Counting
Count registered items with RFID in minutes. Beam knows what should be there and flags what's missing or unexpected.
Scanning devices
Hardware that connects to your items
Scan and assign statuses to individual items from anywhere on the floor.
Automatically identifies individual items at fixed checkpoints without manual scanning.
Reads entire batches or shipments in one pass as they move through the gate.
Prints and encodes RFID labels in one step, giving items their digital identity at the source.
Beam supports RFID and barcode. RFID gives you unique item-level identity and automatic scanning. Barcodes work for product-level tracking where individual identification isn't needed.
Inventory via RFID has given us significant time savings and accuracy. We are very happy with this more efficient business operation.

- Speed 10x faster counts
Inventory 200,000+ items without closing the store.
- Accuracy 99%+ inventory accuracy
Reliable counts without manual errors or barcode scanning.
- Efficiency Zero store closure
No more multi-day closures for inventory counts.
Frequently asked questions
Barcodes identify a product type. Every unit of the same product has the same barcode. RFID gives each individual item its own unique number. That means you can distinguish between 500 identical shirts and track each one separately, where it is, where it's been, and what happened to it.
Beam connects to your ERP via API or scheduled file exchange. New products in your ERP automatically appear in Beam. Stock corrections from Beam (after a stocktake, for example) flow back to your ERP. You keep using your existing system while Beam adds the physical RFID layer.
Yes. Upload a CSV or Excel file with your items and they appear in Beam immediately. Article codes, descriptions, stock levels, categories, and custom fields all transfer. Most customers are up and running within a day.
EPC stands for Electronic Product Code. It's a globally unique number encoded on each RFID chip. Unlike a barcode (which is the same for every unit of a product), an EPC is unique to each individual item. This is what allows Beam to track items individually rather than just counting quantities.
Not necessarily. Beam supports both RFID tracking (unique tag per item) and amount-based tracking (counting quantities without individual tags). You choose per product category what level of tracking you need. High-value or loss-prone items typically get individual tags.
Most organizations import their items and start tagging within a day. There's no migration project or IT integration required to begin. You can connect your ERP later and start with manual import or CSV upload right away.
