Inventory controlled across multiple locations

Smit Mode uses Beam as a supplement to their existing ERP system for accurate inventory management. In the central warehouse at the headquarters, an RFID scan portal is installed with which every inventory movement to the various stores is fully controlled. This prevents errors and ensures that the right items end up in the right place.

Inventory counts in the individual locations are performed with handheld RFID scanners, which enables fast and reliable inventories without manual errors. Thanks to the seamless connection between Beam and the ERP system, the synchronization of inventory data happens automatically and in real-time.

In addition, all item movements are recorded in Beam through unique UID tracking, which makes it possible to see exactly where each item should be located. This transparency makes it easy to monitor inventory flows and quickly intervene in case of deviations or lost products. Should an item still get lost despite this traceability, the item locator module in the Beam app on the handheld RFID scanner can be used to specifically locate the product within the inventory locations.

This combination of automated controls and real-time data ensures efficient, error-free inventory management at Smit Mode, which leads to better availability of items in stores and improved customer satisfaction.
