Beam features an adaptive display system that automatically adjusts the visual quality of the app based on your device's hardware capabilities. This ensures a smooth experience on every device, from the latest flagship phones to older or more basic hardware.
Premium mode
On modern, high-performance devices, Beam enables its full visual experience:
- Smooth animations Fluid transitions and micro-animations throughout the interface.
- Glassmorphism and blur effects Translucent surfaces with backdrop blur for a modern, layered look.
- Multi-layer gradients Rich gradient backgrounds and accent colors.
- High-quality images Full-resolution item images and thumbnails.
- Layered shadows Depth effects with multi-layer drop shadows on cards and elements.
Minimal mode
On older or less powerful devices, Beam switches to a streamlined visual mode that prioritizes performance:
- Instant transitions Simplified animations that complete immediately for a snappy feel.
- Solid colors Clean, solid-color surfaces instead of blur and transparency effects.
- No blur effects Backdrop blur is disabled to reduce GPU load.
- Optimized images Images are loaded at reduced resolution to save memory and bandwidth.
- Simplified shadows Single-layer or no shadows for faster rendering.
How it works
The adaptive display system works entirely automatically:
- Auto-detect capabilities When the app starts, Beam evaluates your device's GPU, memory, and processing power to determine which mode to use.
- No configuration needed There are no settings to change. The app makes the best choice for your device automatically.
- Team flexibility Different team members can use different devices seamlessly. A manager on a new iPad sees the full Premium experience while a warehouse worker on an older Android device gets the fast, Minimal experience. Both see the same data and functionality.
