Integrations
Beam integrates with popular business tools to keep your inventory data synchronized with your accounting, invoicing, and order management systems. Integrations reduce manual data entry and ensure consistency across your software stack.
Available Integrations
Xero
The Xero integration connects Beam with your Xero accounting software. It synchronizes contacts and invoices between the two platforms. You can also configure scheduled invoice generation so that invoices are automatically created in Xero based on completed orders in Beam.
Exact Online
The Exact Online integration enables invoice export and financial data synchronization. Completed orders and their financial details can be pushed to Exact Online for bookkeeping and financial reporting.
AFAS
The AFAS integration connects Beam with your AFAS environment. Data such as orders can be synchronized between the two systems, where they can be tracked and fulfilled using Beam's order management workflows.
Other Integrations
Beam also supports connectors for additional platforms including AFAS, Rentman, and custom integrations. Contact the Beam team to discuss your specific integration requirements.
Setting Up an Integration
To connect an external service to Beam, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Settings in the main menu.
- Find the integration you want to set up in the Integrations section.
- Click the Connect or Authorize button for the desired integration.
- You will be redirected to the external service's authorization page. Log in and grant Beam the required permissions.
- After granting permissions, you will be redirected back to Beam. The integration status will update to show it is connected.
What Gets Synced
Each integration synchronizes different types of data between Beam and the external service.

| Xero | Contacts and invoices (bidirectional). Scheduled invoice generation from completed orders. |
| Exact Online | Invoices and financial data (export from Beam to Exact Online). |
| AFAS | Orders and data synchronization between Beam and AFAS. |
Managing Integrations
Once an integration is connected, you can manage it from the Settings page:
- View status See whether the integration is active and when it last synchronized.
- Disconnect Remove the connection between Beam and the external service. This stops all data synchronization.
- Re-authorize If an integration's authorization expires or is revoked, you can re-authorize it to restore the connection.
